With epistle of John of Raithu and John Climacus' reply; various introductory remarks (leaf 3b); leaf 6a, the abbreviated life of St. John Climacus; leaf 11a, the text of the "Ladder" with all thirty homilies and liturgical rubrics for reading during the Lenten period; leaf 174a, homily of the shepherd ("Pouka pastiru"), the end of which is missing. Without inscriptions. A miniature depicting a ladder serves as a frame for the table of contents and a figure of John Climacus appears on leaf 5a. Ornamented headings and initials.
